Chopard launches new jewellery creations at Cannes Film Festival 2015

The luxury Swiss-based brand Chopard will launch four very special fair-mined jewellery pieces -inspired by the iconic Palme d’Or- as part of the newest Green Carpet capsule collection at Cannes Film Festival 2015.

Chopard, which has been crafting the Palme d’Or since 1998 as part of its long standing partnership with the world’s leading film festival, launched last year the first Palme d’Or in Fairmined gold to mark its commitment to its multi-year program:   the Journey to Sustainable Luxury

The design recalls that of the leaves of the gracious palm to the little heart finishing the stem of the Palme d’Or, a symbol dear to Chopard and Caroline Scheufele, its co-president and artistic director.

The Green Carpet capsule collection is made from gold that was sourced from small mines in Peru with the help of the Alliance for Responsible Mining, a development charity that helps some of the poorest mining communities in Latin America achieve Fairmined certification. 

The exclusive jewelry pieces comprises a jewellery watch, a large pendant, a ring and earrings delicately crafted from 18ct white gold and set with marquise-cut diamonds.
